My neigh-bour at my Essex studio is a pony called Missie! Being surrounded by horses has opened my eyes to the incredible love and devotion that horse owners have. Equestrian photography found me, and has become an important part of my location mini session bookings.
ON LOCATION EXPERT
In Spring, Summer and Autumn, the outside spaces where you choose to hack in a around Essex are often amazing locations for an outdoor shoot. This is where horses are most content and allows me to photograph them in natural lights. Horses can startle easy so I prefer not to use lighting where possible, especially if children are involved in the shoot.
These work brilliantly on your yard. Equestrian mini sessions last around 30 minutes, giving you around 15 fully edited images to choose from.
My favoured time for shoots is the Golden Hour, which is one hour before sunset. I meet you at your stables and walk to a nice spot to get a range of shots like these…
My signature shot uses the evening sunlight to create a stunning silhouette of your horse along with a starburst from the sunlight. My clients LOVE this shot and looks incredible printed!
This covers my preparations for your shoot, your time in the studio/on location and administration. My mini session fee is £50. Your booking is confirmed once your session fee has been paid.
